Customs, VAT and delivery to the UK
American shops charge in US dollars. Your card provider converts to sterling and may add a non-sterling fee.
Up to £135, 20% VAT is normally charged at checkout. Above £135, VAT and any duty are collected on import, often with a courier handling fee.
Via a US address service, allow about 1 to 2 weeks once the parcel reaches the American warehouse.
Posting items back to the US is rarely cheap. Check sizes and the shop's returns policy first.
In the shop's own words
“Any order that is being shipped to a "Freight Forwarding Company" will not be accepted.”Quoted from the shop's official page.
